Los Angeles-based Romaire Studios, Inc. (RS) is one of the foremost providers of live-action creatures, characters and animated/non-animated props for the worldwide entertainment industry.

Formed in 2000 by Emmy-Award winning artist Lee Romaire, RS leverages Lee’s sophisticated artistic eye and passion for realism and performance.

RS originated as a boutique creature and character company, providing make-up, puppets and special effects for movies, TV and commercials. As we grew, RS secured working relationships with some of the biggest live-action entertainment companies in the world.

A decade ago, we set an aesthetic standard for the theme park industry by providing movie-quality realism to theme park animatronic human figures.

Today, Romaire Studios continues as an innovation leader because we bring art and technology to life.

We are known for making the impossible seem possible. Our innovative work is evidenced in several patents, and a few of our ground-breaking, in-house creations include: the smallest expressive animatronic face in theme park history and the first hand-held animatronic character, among others.

Our work is typically performed under strict material confidentiality to ensure maximum IP security.

Performance:  It all begins and ends with a good show

Our success depends upon creating a believable performance; therefore puppeteers, suit performers and animation experts are a vital part of our production team. Our performance partners are the best in the world, and we involve them early in our process to get the very best out of every character.
